Who is Sarah?

Wealth is the ability to truly experience life.

Henry David Thoreau

Most people now define being wealthy as having the financial independence to enjoy life. For some, that means planning for a retirement filled with more joy than a woman in a yogurt commercial. For others, wealth means being able to set their kids up to take over the world; or buying a house that would make Joanna Gaines weep at its beauty.

Meet Sarah

Helping you figure out what you want in life and getting your money in line with those dreams is what LIGHTS. ME. UP. It is the reason I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional. And I’m doing it while making personal finance less intimidating. I’m helping Millennials take control of their financial lives without sacrificing lattes or avocado toast.

If you’re wondering how to make your money work for your dreams, you gotta reach out to me. I develop long-term relationships with my clients to understand your unique situation and present recommendations to fit you. From budgeting to investing, I’ll guide you to financial confidence.

In my spare time, you can find me passionately advocating for women’s rights – I currently hold a seat on the board of the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region – and burning off my extra energy through kickboxing (I can kick you in the face. FEAR ME!), strength training, running, and/or cross-country skiing. All this activity is necessary because I bake the best cakes and cheesecakes; ask nicely and I might share a piece!

What I do…

Translate money jargon to normal English.

Meet you wherever you are.

Reassure you that there are no stupid money questions.

Empower you.

Wait. What’s a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional?

The CFP® designation is one of the most difficult and comprehensive financial certificates professionals can earn. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professionals must study for and pass a rigorous exam, continuously learn more about the field, and maintain ethical requirements. It means I need to always put your needs before my own — what is called the “fiduciary” standard — and be up to date on what is going on in the world.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. owns the certification marks CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® in the U.S.
