Why does the CFP® designation matter?
The CFP® designation is one of the most difficult and comprehensive financial certificates professionals can earn.
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professionals must study for and pass a rigorous exam, continuously learn more about the field, and maintain ethical requirements. It means I need to always put your needs before my own — what is called the “fiduciary” standard — and be up to date on what is going on in the world.
Only about 29% of registered financial advisors have earned the right to call themselves CFP® professionals.
And of those, only 23% are women.
Do that math and you’ll find there are only 6.67% other advisors like me (insert hair toss here).

WHAT DOES VALKYRIE MEAN?
The name “Valkyrie” (pronounced “VAL-ker-EE”) comes from Norse mythology.
Valkyries were a group of female warrior deities, often shown with wings. They chose and guided the heroic souls who would ascend to the Norse afterlife. In a modern age where many mythological females have been softened, the stories of the Valkyries remains fierce and respected.
I’ve always thought naming a business after myself was a bit pretentious. After all, you care a hell of a lot less about my name and a hell of a lot more about how I can help you.
That’s where the valkyries come in: they are strong warrior women who lift others up to a better world.
