Leading millennial women to create and wield their financial wealth

You were probably never taught how to really take care of your finances.

But you’re ready to reach your dreams, which means it’s time to stop winging it!

Financial literacy isn’t in the American curriculum.

Even though we live in a capitalistic society and pretty much everything requires money,

we’re not taught how to use it.

But that’s not all…

Somehow, 79% of men feel comfortable making money decisions while only 55% of women say the same.

Add in the fact that 8 out 10 women will be solely responsible for their finances at some point in their life,

and we’ve got a problem.

Millennials are at this crossroads of life —

We can’t claim to be kids anymore.

(I say “we” because I’m smack dab in the middle of the generation.)

We’re facing the realities of adulthood
  • We see the struggles our parents face as they step into retirement.
  • We have this nagging sense that we’re setting ourselves up to fail and an immense sense of shame around our money decisions.
  • Money feels complicated, and the “Google it and good luck” approach to finding answers doesn’t cut it!

Money is a tool

and I’m here to teach you how to use it!

Hi, I’m Sarah

My passion is to cut the bullshit and talk about ALL the money stuff you need to know, but were never taught.

I’ve spent over 10 years working in the world of personal finance and it’s shown me just how badly the industry has failed to serve.

Especially women.

True story:
when I was working at a major financial firm, there was a course on working with female clients that included such helpful tips as “look her in the eyes when speaking” and “include her in the conversation”.

This was in 2014.

Valkyrie Financial grew wings because I wanted to work at a financial place where women weren’t considered a niche market.

It was also important that I find a way to serve women of my generation, who may not have the assets yet to ask their questions of a “traditional” financial advisor.

Here’s what I promise you!

  • A financial advisor who will speak to you, not at you.
  • Personalized education focused on your money situation.
  • A stronger, healthier, and more confident financial life
